1. Drain hole clogged
Signs of a clogged drain hose or drain include water in the bin and floating melted ice. The blockage is removed by applying warm water under high pressure with the addition of detergent, which dissolves fatty deposits and plaque.
2. Ice cubes have lost their transparency
When calcium builds up in the system, the ice cubes become clear. Our technicians will decalcify and regenerate the water softener to return the ice to its ideal clarity.
3. Capillary tube clogged
The problem can be identified by a decrease in suction pressure or insufficient freezing of the evaporator. The blockage is cleared by applying nitrogen under pressure or replacing the capillary tube. It is also recommended to replace the filter drier.
4. Condenser micromotor malfunction
Abnormal noise or whistling noise while the ice maker is operating may indicate a problem with the condenser micromotor. It should be replaced as soon as possible to avoid serious damage and additional costs.
5. Hopper overflow
If the ice maker is running non-stop and the bin overfills, the cause is usually a faulty ice level thermostat. In such cases, the thermostat cannot be repaired, and replacing it is the best solution.
